Housing information for exchange students
at the Carlo Cattaneo University
CHECKING IN
The reception in the residence halls is open 24 hours a day.
On your arrival at the University you will be taken to the Halls of Residence where you will be asked to hand in the original copy of the housing contract signed by you and to pay for the first rent instalment (2 months). As stated above, you may choose to pay for the whole period (minimum of four months) in advance through a bank transfer, paying all the bank costs, or follow the terms of payment explained on web pages.
When you check into your room you will receive a checklist. After you have inspected your accommodation, please report any missing or damaged items to the Campus reception within 24 hours in order to avoid to be charged for the damage. In order to help us to provide a good service, we would recommend all students to arrive during office hours (Monday to Friday) to be able to carry out the check in procedures and to receive any necessary assistant. Therefore remember to inform the International Office of LIUC of your arrival date and time (please make sure you send the ARRIVAL FORM to LIUC International Office by the deadlines stated in your information pack).
MAINTENANCE
It is the students' responsibility to keep the rooms clean. All waste must be removed and placed in the proper containers located outside the Residence building. You are also responsible for your accommodation keys and in case of loss or damage you will be charged for a replacement.
The rooms are all fully furnished, therefore you are not allowed to change the furniture in any way.
Since all rooms can be securely locked, Hinterland declines any responsibility for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Maintenance staff may enter the rooms for servicing and repairs at all times (see the "Regulation of the Halls of Residence") and will give an advance notice of entry.
Finally, we recommend all tenants to keep noise levels down in the halls of residence after 11 pm in order to respect fellow students living on Campus wishing to study or sleep.
