FACULTY OF ENGINEERING
The study paths offered by Universitą Carlo Cattaneo for both the first and second cycle degrees in Industrial management are structured to combine the fundamental elements of a solid theoretical grounding with the real-world skills that graduates will require in the workplace.
The objective is to prepare students for immediate entry into employment, equipped with the methodological abilities needed to confront a fast-changing professional context.
The courses in Industrial management, offered by the Universitą Carlo Cattaneo within the Faculty of Engineering, are specifically geared to the industrial settings in which industrial managers are increasingly called upon to oversee business processes, and in particular production management, logistics, quality management and the development and management of information systems. LIUC graduates can therefore better be described not as traditional management engineers, but rather as industrial engineers specialising in the management of industrial production and logistics.
This orientation has been achieved thanks to a close collaboration with the Industrial Associations that originally contributed to the institution of LIUC and have since continued to sustain its activities and development. Periodic meetings are held with representatives from industry in order to ensure that the academic offerings continue to answer the needs of employers, and single out any particular areas of the course structure or syllabus where there is scope for improvement.
